MinutesChancellor's Office IT Survey - John Ross New Survey - John Ross Deep Freeze - John Ross Macromedia Software Requests - John Ross ATI update - Jim Julius Cyndi Chie and Helen Habermann are working to have more tools and information on the access.sdsu.edu web site. Cyndi noted that the campus templates have been removed as they were not-ATI compliant. She believes that Keith Parks is working on their replacements. Also, Cyndi is coordinating an ACCVerify training session the last week of June. It will be a repeat of the last 3-hour webinar. ITS update - Jim Julius Course Design Institute for faculty interested in course redesign process went well. The focus was on blended learning. May 21st had approximately 150 in attendance to hear open presentations, including one by Chuck Dziuban of University of Central Florida (DVD of this will be available for checkout from ITS soon, by the way). May 22-24 saw 13 faculty from across the university plus 17 from College of Education participating in intensive faculty development activities around course redesign for increased online delivery. Mark Laumakis of Psychology is a pioneer in clicker usage and hybrid course design and attended the Sloan-C national conference on online learning in higher-ed. He presented as a Keynote Speaker, and was well received. Mark is establishing connections with the Sloan Consortium, which will benefit SDSU. Rich Bakken has been hired and will start in early July, filling Don Fera's old position as Coordinator of Instructional Resources and Technology Systems. We will have a facilitators' meeting after his arrival to introduce him and discuss training and support for this fall. Please work with ITS when your college/department is updating any local smart classrooms. Working with ITS and the vendors, who have partnered with ITS, will help you to save funds, reuse existing support resources, and provide a more consistent experience to your faculty and students. Next IACC meeting - July 12, 2007 at 1 p.m. in AH-1112.
