Study Abroad Forms and Deadlines
The International Student Center provides a list of important forms and deadline information for students who want to study abroad. All SDSU students are required to take care of all SDSU administrative requirements before studying abroad. Before going abroad, you and your departmental advisor will complete an Academic Approval Form to identity the credits for
completing the study abroad program. Students who plan ahead and work closely with their academic advisors usually get full credit for classes they take abroad. For students who have completed an Academic Approval Form, listing their overseas courses and SDSU equivalents, this form will be forwarded to the office of Evaluations and will be used to determine course equivalencies. For coursework not approved beforehand, students will need to submit a "Petition" form available at their major department along with supporting documentation to request substitution credit. For further questions, contact Robert Carolin of the International Student Center at 619-594-1982 or send an email to studyabroad@sdsu.edu. Remember that the first step in the process of studying abroad is to sign up for an Information Session at the International Student Center to learn about all the study abroad options available to students.
