Admission Requirements
Students should consider applying to the Honors Program if they are stimulated by ideas, tend to be skeptical of definitive answers or easy solutions, and are pursuing an education, not just a degree. If accepted, Honors Program students will find themselves in an intellectual peer group with a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
High School Applicants
High school seniors (incoming college freshmen) will be required to meet one of the following three eligibility criteria:
- A grade point average of 3.70 or above, or

Students applying from a community college or another university must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Students who have taken at least 9 units of honors college credit must have at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
