The SDSU University Honors Program (UHP) has established the Honors Diplomat Program to promote leadership and community service. The Honors Diplomat program is designed to inspire and assist students in making a difference in the lives of others. Towards this end, three core questions lie at the heart of the Honors Diplomat Program: What kind of world do you want? What kind of difference will you make? What kind of future will you map? We are looking for students who are committed to the values of teamwork and collaboration, generosity and engagement, and integrity and accountability. The Honors Diplomats, in addition to SDSU UHP faculty/staff, serve as a resource to inspire interest in scholarship, leadership, professional development, and service.
SDSU UHP is now seeking Honors Diplomats for the 2008-2009 Academic Year. Students selected for these positions will receive 2 units of honors credit (HON 299) per semester, an opportunity to provide service to the Honors program and SDSU community, strengthen leadership and communication skills, as well as gain experience mentoring and advising current students.
ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE TYPED. The slots are limited and therefore the positions will be very competitive. The time, date, and schedule for the semester will be presented after students are interviewed and selected.
Please submit completed application to the SDSU University Honors Program Academic Advising office in Admin 201C or email to mlopez@mail.sdsu.edu. For specific questions, please contact the SDSU UHP Advising Office
