Housing Administration (Back to top)

While most on campus housing options are catered to undergraduates, the Office of Housing Administration and Residential Education provides several housing options for graduate students:

Emerald Isle is a small, older complex located immediately adjacent to the campus and is an affordable living option for graduate students. Amenities include a laundry facility, parking (at an additional charge) and a new barbecue area. Please call the on-site manager for more information at 619-265-8559. Find out more information about Emerald Isle.

Piedra del Sol Apartments (PdS) are an option for returning SDSU students looking for independent apartment-style living. Preference is given to graduate and upper class students. The 66-unit apartment complex offers unfurnished 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom units. Apartments are available in June, July or August and are leased for a 12-month period to the next June, July or August, depending on the unit. PdS is currently full. Find out more information about Piedra del Sol.

Most SDSU Graduate Students live off campus. The office of Housing Administration provides housing services to students who may be in need of housing but don’t know where to begin. For information regarding apartment hunting, the names of local communities and discussions about how to choose a roommate or deciding on a budget, click here.
