Graduate Student Orientation
The new Graduate Student Orientation is now available! The online orientation has been designed to provide new graduate students with vital information to assist with the transition to graduate school, and to succeed throughout the duration of their graduate program. The Graduate Student Orientation will be available on this website permanently, so please feel free to reference it at any time. And don't forget that the Graduate and Research Affairs Office is here to assist you as you embark on this new educational experience. May 30th: Last day to add, drop, or change grading basis for S1 session.
June 3rd: Last day to add, drop, or change grading basis for T1 session.
July 15th: Last day to add, drop, or change grading basis for S2 session.
July 3rd: Without Risk – Final day for submitting thesis (without risk) to Montezuma Publishing for thesis review to have the best likelihood for graduation in Summer 2014. The thesis signature page and electronic document should be submitted with the $20 processing fee to Montezuma Publishing.
July 7th – August 15th: At Risk – Theses may be submitted to Montezuma publishing on an at-risk basis. However, Summer 2014 graduation is contingent upon review, approval and completion of final publishing by 12 noon on the final deadline, August 13, 2014. Students missing the final deadline will be required to reapply for graduation for the term in which they expect to graduate.
July 25th: Final day for submission of Incomplete and Report in Progress grade removals for graduation with and advanced degree (excluding 799A).
August 8th: Last day for departments to report successful completion of comprehensive examination to the Graduate Division and submit Late Schedule Adjustments.
August 13th (noon deadline): Deadline for final clearance by Montezuma publishing assuring Summer 2014 graduation, for theses that have been defended, formatted and have received final approval.
August 15th (noon deadline): Final day to submit thesis with the $20 processing fee to Montezuma Publishing for thesis review without having to enroll in Thesis 799B the following semester.
NOTE: If you do not meet this deadline, you will need to register for Thesis 799B the following semester and reapply for Fall 2014 graduation.
When submitting approved Doctoral Dissertations to the Graduate Division for Summer 2014 graduation, the Joint University's deadlines apply.
