Greg L. Harris Laboratory

San Diego State University

Student List

The Harris Lab has a wonderful group of people working on a variety of research topics including obesity, diabetes, cancer, and neurological disorders.  We examine detailed processes in Drosophila melanogaster including lipid metabolism, SREBP processing, apoptosis, the humoral response, and G-coupled protein receptors .

Steve Attle  PhD. Cell Molecular Biology Candidate

Steve Attle is currently working on G-coupled protein receptors and their role in neurological disorders

Van Phan PhD. Cell Molecular Biology Candidate

Van Phan is investigating how sphingolipids modulate apoptosis , in particular, germ cell death.  She is also currently investigating the involvement of sphingolipids in immune regulation

Greg Brulte MS. Cell Molecular Biology Candidate

Greg Brulte is currently working on lipid metabolism and SREBP processing and its role in obesity and diabetes.

Stan Walls Lab Technician

Stan is currently working on  biochemical assay development, GC/LC/MS, electron microscopy,  bioinformatics, histology and DNA Chip analysis.  I am also the Web Page Designer.
