Working Title: Gatlin Accounting Services
Report Author: Kate Gatlin
Date: August 7th, 2009

Brief Profile of Users:
The website was pilot tested with three people. One of the individuals does not have expertise in business or accounting. The second of the three is the business owner of the site in question, and last user interviewed is a top executive in a large company.

Think Aloud Task:
The task at hand was to explore the site and locate the downloadable flyer, discover what services were offered, and find information on how to contact the business.

Summary of Think Aloud:
All of the users were able to find the flyer, the services, and the contact information; however, some took longer than others. One person made a comment that the colors were bright. All three people were able to find the flyer on the homepage, but one person passed it and had to go back to find it. Once at the flyer, one person (not the same as the one who couldn’t find it) took a moment to figure out how to download it. All were able to find the services and contact information fairly easily. There are some areas that are blank and confused two of the users.

Summary of Posttest:
One person suggested that the “About Roxanne” should be made the same size as the “About Us.” Since one person had made a comment about the color, I asked him if he thought it was too bright, and he said no, but it was not what he expected. The other two did not seem to have a problem with the color. One person said it would probably look ok to leave some of the empty sidebars off a few pages. One suggested more personal photos on the site. Two said they really liked the idea of the testimonials.

Findings to be Implemented:
As a result of this test I have decided to make some changes. These changes are as follows:

Findings that will not be Implemented:
