The
Beta Lambda chapter of Gamma Phi Beta is an excellent candidate
for the E. Adeline Curtis Award. In the past biennium our
chapter has shined in the demonstration of the five standards
of membership. It is through being sisterly, establishing
deeper friendships and being considerate to our friends,
and each other where the strength of our upheld standards
is recognized.
At
San Diego State University our chapter is viewed as a sorority
of well-rounded and respectable individuals. The good character
bestowed amongst the house is expressed completely by our
actions on campus, with in the Greek system, to the surrounding
community and, of course, among each other. This chapter
fully takes part in ' the promotion of the highest type
of womanhood through education, social life, and service
to our country and humanity.' The Beta Lambda chapter is
group of attractive, personable girls always respected and
admired by peers. We are an enthusiastic bunch forever reaching
for the stars. We are always here for each other, whether
it is for studies, for the house, or for a shoulder to cry
on. The Beta Lambda chapter knows what it means to be a
true Gamma Phi, a true sister.
Through
the conglomeration of all the talent, dedication, sisterhood,
respect and drive found in this chapter we are able to dominate
as a whole. When we all come together and put our minds
to one thing, nothing can stop us. As I said before, the
Beta Lambda chapter of Gamma Phi Beta is a tremendous contender
for the E. Adeline Curtis Award. We are a group of determined,
personable, talented, and well-respected women who want
nothing short form the best. We are a group of Gamma Phi's
whom know the required standards of making it to our stars.
