Pi Delta Phi
The National French Honor Society French and Francophone Studies
Epsilon Zeta Chapter
Founded at the University of California of Berkeley in 1906, Pi Delta Phi, the national French honor society, has as its goals:
- to recognize outstanding scholarship in French language and literature;
- to increase knowledge of the contribution of French-speaking countries to world culture;
- to stimulate and encourage such cultural activities that will lead to a deeper appreciation of these countries.
Since that time the society has grown to over 60,000 members in nearly 300 chapters across the United States and in France.
For more information on Pi Delta Phi, contact the Honor Society Adviser, Professor Grace Chang.
