Multimedia Tools – Photoshop
Usually the best way for me to learn a new program is to jump right in and explore. However, because of the extensive capabilities of Photoshop, I decided to find a tutorial that could teach me one skill. This also allowed me to learn a little more about the layout of Photoshop.
The skill I decided to learn was how to hand-color black and white photos. At first attempt, it seemed easy enough until I looked at the full picture again. It did not turn out well. I have attached the photos I worked on for you to see my progression. I do have to say, the quick selection tool definitely cuts down time and frustration!
The last thing I found interesting with this project was thinking about what needed to be colored and cut out. The more detailed the picture, the harder it is to figure out the exact area to be colored.
I hope you enjoy my photos. I have labeled them 1, 2 and 3 in progression of my attempts.
