STUDENT LIFE > Accomodations

Students are lodged in modern apartments with twin-bedded rooms and cooking facilities within a 20 minute walking radius of the study center located near Santa Croce in downtown Florence.

The apartments are easily reached both from the main railway station and the highway should parents or friends plan on visiting. It is an ideal position, close to the museums, restaurants, shops, places of interest, and the city center.

All student rooms are twin-bedded with four students typically sharing a two-bedroom apartment. A change of linen will be provided weekly along with a regular cleaning service. Adequate utilities will be included up to a normal consumption for the duration of the program. No telephones will be available in the apartments, but AIFS will advise on inexpensive local cellular phone options.

An optional meal plan consisting of 20 vouchers for lunches or dinners in local trattoria in Florence may be purchased for a fee of $400.

Forty hours of Internet time are included in the program fee plus privileged rates for buying additional Internet time at a chain of outlets with which AIFS has arranged a special contract.
