Valerie Peck, MBA, CFP® is the principal of Peck Financial Advisors, a fee-based financial planning and investment management firm dedicated to helping women in transition identify, adapt and achieve their financial goals. I work closely with clients to develop and implement strategies with the goal of creating financial stability and security to achieve financial independence. Office is in space shared with other individual financial advisors located in Mission Valley area in San Diego. Seeking intern for CFP® who is solo practitioner, fee-based financial advisor. You will be able to work remotely most of the time, assisting with research/documentation on specific investments as well as educational material for consumer presentations. Need to have access to the internet, word, and excel. Graduate student preferred but upper division Bachelor student possible. Unpaid position. Financial Alternatives, Inc. is seeking motivated intern to assist our financial advisory firm with various projects. No sales calls involved – work will vary. May include client case work support, ad hoc analysis, design and implement monitoring procedures for advisory process, etc.

  • Must be detail oriented, and able to work independently.

  • Functional use of Excel, Word, typing, database, misc computer skills required.

  • Familiarity of account types, investments, financial/estate planning preferred.

  • Good written/verbal communication skills required.

  • Should be comfortable with unstructured, small office working environment.
