The College of Business Administration is fully accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

Financial planning programs are registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. as meeting their educational requirements.

San Diego State University was the first university in the nation to offer a personal financial planning specialization at a business school whose degree programs are fully accredited by AACSB.

SDSU students specializing in financial services and personal financial planning are highly sought after by many of the top financial services organizations in the country. Recruiters from many major financial services firms regularly visit the campus to seek out the SDSU’s best students for their professional career programs.

Many of the courses are taught by professors that have worked in the industry and can offer first-hand insight and real world knowledge into scenarios that affect the profession. Additionally, the College works with professional associations and certification bodies (Financial Planning Association, National Association of Personal Financial Advisers, and the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards) to enhance the student experience.

The executive program provides certification education for experienced employees of financial services firms who wish to further their education in the financial planning field.

The bachelor’s, master’s and executive programs are all registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards in Washington, DC.
