CW predicts continued spending increases through year 2005, predicts US involvement in a major (defined as 1500 kilotons or greater annual explosive firepower) foreign-soil conflict in next eight years. Popularity of Sec. Colin Powell seen as significant index of public sentiment. DoD widely accepted as single largest employer in Western Hemisphere, despite investigative difficulties caused by Secret classifications.

Sources in the know tell me it wasn't a major effort, and didn't materially affect the outcome of the conflict. What it did was demonstrate they are real and really effective. Incident at New-Clear Order, Berkeley CA-based, left-wing, political paranoia tabloid: Sometime between May 3, 1999 and May 7, 1999 Editor-in-Chief Abdur Kologani receives anonymously information reported to "conclusively" demonstrate that US govt. has been regularly and illegally performing assassinations on both foreign and domestic soil, assassinations for national security purposes but also occasionally to facilitate continued black operations in US govt. three-letter security agencies. Kologani reported to accept accuracy of document and fully prepared to publish. Sometime after 6:35 pm May 9, 1999 Kologani receives a communication in some form. He will not elaborate, but by 10:00 the next morning he's decided against publication and has reportedly "destroyed" original document. Source, medium, or content of any communication to Kologani unknown. Sez a close source, "Someone got to him." Twenty-two days later Kologani moves to Qila Saifula, Pakistan, where he is reported to be alive but cannot be reached for comment.
