Europe and Terrorism

The course explores the complex historical, cultural, and moral dimensions of terrorism—one of the central political and moral issues of the 21st century. Using a variety of literary, historic, and media sources students examine the historical roots of terrorism in Europe, explore extremist ideologies and religious intolerance in European cultural context, investigate the issues of gender and terrorism.
