Exams:

There will be 3 exams during the semester.  Exams will comprise of both multiple choice and short essay formats.  Students will receive a review sheet to each exam and will have the majority of class period to complete the test.

** All exam dates are tentatively scheduled and may change.  Students will get approximately 2-weeks advanced notice for any date adjustments.

Disability “Homework”:

Typically, I assign a term paper for this course.  However, this term I have decided to try something new.  I have selected four topics related to disability, and have found review articles that discuss each of those disabilities and attempt to give the reader a consensus of the relevant topics surrounding exercise and treatment.  You will be asked to select 2 of the disabilities provides, read the review papers and answer questions related to the readings.  You may need to use other sources to gain full appreciation and background of the material discussed in the articles.

Questions for each will be provided during the semester and should be turned in with the typed responses.  All answers are to be typed, double-spaced and 12 font.  I am not interested in the length of the text, but should answer the question completely!

You are expected to complete two of these assignments this semester.

Readings will be held in the reserve room at Love Library.  You  will complete the projects & submit them on the last day of class (12/12/03).  Questions will be handed out on October 2nd for all topics.  Again, you will choose 2 disabilities and complete the questions for each.

Your assignments will be assessed using these content areas:
