Course Evaluation:

 

EXAMINATIONS: Three examinations will be given on those days indicated on the course outline.  The points for exams will be as follows:

 

Exams 1 and 2 will be comprised of 50 questions. Questions will be true/false and multiple-choice format.

 

Exam 3 will be comprehensive and comprised of 50 questions from unit three and 25 additional questions from units one and two.

     

 

QUIZZES: Four quizzes will be administered on those dates indicated on the course outline. Quizzes will cover the material selected from the reading assignment on:

   Learning and Performance         (5 questions: 1 pt each)

   Gallwey's book                             (8 questions: 1 pt each)

   Mental Practice                            (7 questions: 1 pt each)

   Massed & Distributed Practice  (5 questions: 1 pt each)

 

 

The maximum number of points for the course is 200.  A final grade will be awarded according to the scale below.

 

 

200-182 = A                154-150 = C-

181-176 = B+              149-145 = D+

175-170 = B                144-140 = D

169-165 = B-               139-136 = D-

164-160 = C+              135 & Below = F

159-155 = C

 

NOTE:

 

1. If the instructor believes the reading assignments are not being completed, he reserves the right to administer a 'pop' quiz, without notice, on the day the assignment is due. Each new quiz will be worth 5 pts and will cover only the material in the reading assignment. A new grade scale will be distributed at the time of the quiz.

 

2. Reading assignments are to be completed for the class period after the date indicated on the course outline.

 

3. Make-up exams will be given only when special (very special) circumstances prevent attendance at the scheduled exam time. Attendance at the exam is your number 1 priority.

 

4. You will be allowed to make up one quiz with the permission of the instructor. Permission will only be granted if you have an acceptable excuse for missing the quiz in the first place. See 3 above for non-acceptable excuses. The quiz make-up will be administered on Tuesday December 11th at  9.00 am  (for 8.00am section) and 1.45 pm (for the 12.30 section) in ENS 309. No other make-up times will be provided.

 

5. You will need 7 (seven) par system answer sheets (#20788)

for the exams and quizzes. You will not be allowed to re-use answer sheets.

 

6. Class begins three minutes after the scheduled time. If you cannot make it by that time, DO NOT come into the class.
