  • Of the three, the two current SDSU undergraduate students are part of the target audience for the site

Think Aloud Task:
All users were asked to explore the website, find an event or posting that they would be interested in, and submit an announcement.

Summary of Think Aloud:
All three users were able to complete the three tasks: navigate the website, find an event or posting that they would be interested in, and submit an announcement. One of the users had participated in the alpha test and liked the changes made to the site. She recommended adding a picture to the home page as well as the tabbed pages. The other two users liked the website and thought it would be a very useful tool for SDSU students. They said they would like to see more events posted on the site.

Summary of Posttest:

A variety of comments were made. Users commented that they liked:

  • heading picture/logo
  • color scheme/overall look
  • that users can submit announcements
  • the idea of a website like this for SDSU
  • easy navigation

Users suggested the following changes or additions:

  • add more events
  • add a photo to home page similar to photos on tabbed pages
  • have a photo of the creator in the about section

Findings to be Implemented:

  • add a photo to home page

Findings that will not be Implemented:
Add a photo of the creator in the about section, at this time I prefer not to
Add more events, due to the timing of winter break about to start there are limited events on campus right now, also this is a prototype of a site I would like to launch in the future and because I don’t plan to advertise it yet I prefer to save time by adding more events before I officially launch the site
