Located in a diverse urban setting, San Diego State University (SDSU) is one of the largest campuses in the California State University (CSU) system and is the only CSU campus designated “Doctoral/Research Universities-Intensive” by the Carnegie Foundation.

The College emphasizes excellence in teaching, scholarship and research. It is in the forefront of education reform, preparing educators to work in multi-cultural settings through its pre-service, Masters and doctoral level programs.

Unless otherwise indicated, positions are full-time, tenured/tenure-track, and located at the San Diego campus.  Applicants must have a doctorate in the field indicated or a closely related discipline by the date of appointment.  A record of substantial scholarly activity is essential for appointment at the Associate level for all positions.

Successful candidates must have multicultural competencies or a willingness to acquire them.  Individuals from traditionally under-represented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

Review of candidates will begin on or shortly after November 30, 2007 and will continue until positions are filled. Appointments will be made beginning fall 2008 subject to the availability of funds.
