Academic Advising Hours for Spring 2012
Request for an Advisor's SignatureThe Economics Department has a policy that all forms requiring an advisor’s signature are now reviewed periodically by a committee. To declare the major or minor, or to request an adjustment to the major, please fill out the signature request form, available in the department office. Note that there is additional information that must be attached for each request. Attach all necessary materials (transcripts, explanations, etc.) and place in the STUDENT REQUEST box in the Economics Department (NH305) between 8am and 4:30pm (M-F). During the regular academic year, requests will be reviewed weekly and can be picked up in the department office on the following Monday afternoon. In the summer, it may take up to TWO weeks for your request to be processed. Your request will either be approved and signed, or contain an explanation of why it cannot be approved at this time. Signature request form. For assistance in forming your request, or for general advising information, please continue to see any department advisor during open advising hours. To make your time with an advisor as productive as possible, be sure to bring any necessary formsor paperwork. In particular, if you want to discuss what classes you need to take, whether you have met specific requirements, etc. it is helpful to bring a copy of your degree audit.
