Madhavan Distinguished Lecture in Economic Development

This lecture series was established to recognize the contribution of Professor Madhavan for his long, significant service to the department and the university. The series was inaugurated by Dr. Prabahker Narvekar, Former Deputy Managing Director, International Monetary Fund in 2006. Lecturers to date have included Dr. Anoop Singh, Director, Latin American Department, International Monetary Fund, Dr. Pranab Bardhan, Distinguished Professor of Economics, University if California, Berkeley, and Professor Sumit Ganguly, Distinguished Professor of Political Economy, Indiana University.
