Applying to SDSU is a two step process as detailed below.

All applicants must submit admissions materials SEPARATELY to SDSU Enrollment Services and to the Economics Department.

ENROLLMENT SERVICES

1.  CSU application forms are available online at http://www.csumentor.edu/   A $55.00         application filing fee must accompany your application.

2.  One official copy of transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
3.  GRE scores.  International students also need to submit TOEFL scores.

ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT

  • Two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the applicant's academic ability. Download the following recommendation forms to be completed by individuals familiar with your academic abilities. (Download the recommendation form here).

  • A personal statement of no more than 750 words that describes why you wish to pursue a Masters of Arts in Economics at San Diego State University.

Note:  The deadline is February 1st for the online "CSU Mentor" application and March 1st for all supporting materials -- transcripts, GRE scores, letters of recommendation. However, scholarships and RA positions are allocated early so get your application in as soon as possible. Furthermore, your application will not be processed until all the required information listed above is received.
