1939 Song

Frackville, song by Emma Dreher Hoppes and Gertrude M. Tenenholz

            "Frackville"

            Upon Broad Mountain's skyline
            Above the foothills steep,
            A gallant little city
            Traditional faith doth keep.

            In beauty rare and lovely
            the rhododendron twine
            and laurel in the Springtime
            Form intricate design.

            Though oft afar we wander
            Wherever we may roam,
            In mem'ries treasure garden
            Frackville will still be home.

            Chorus:
            O home land, so dear
            With loyal hearts and true
            We pledge our devotion here
            to Frackville anew;
            With courage and strength
            United we will be
            To bring richer blessings
            To our community.
