SCSA had a good showing at last month's Malibu Boardriders contest. Several surfers made it through the first round into the semi's and the paddleboard team gained some team points as well. Of note were SCSA contestants Tyler Mitchell (15-19), Molly Jones (Women under 29) and Steve Lis (40-49) placing in the finals!

At the MSA Contest (9/7-8), gratefully the surf was PUMPING at Malibu! SCSA surfers advanced into the second round despite very tough competition. Contestants advancing to the semi's at MSA were Molly Jones, Nate Cintas, Team captain Rob Brockman, Steve Bigler and Bob English. Ultimately, Bob English outlasted the Legends semi heat and was awarded 6th in the final.

Our awesome SCSA tandem team, Todd & Wendy performed amazing lifts in head high surf and advanced to the finals finishing 3rd!!

CONGRATULATIONS! To finalists and thank you to all Contest Team members who gave it their best effort surfing for SCSA at both Malibu contests.

SCSA TEAM PLACES 6TH OVERALL AT MALIBU

SCSA surfers again faced small Malibu surf but came through with a 6th place Overall Team finish. SCSA men's contingent surfing thru semi's and finals were Nate, "RB", "Pendo", Stevie Lis, King Bob, Ron Bettsworth, "Butter", Mike & Matt Deiterman and the McConaughy boys.

SCSA women surfing thru semi's and finals were: Cher, Molly, Noel and Liz Bommer.
