CUHRE supporting the 2006 Breast Cancer Walk in San Diego, California

The Collegiate Union for Health Related Education (CUHRE) at San Diego State University provides academic and personal support to highly motivated student members who wish to compete successfully for matriculation into medical, dental, veterinary, optometry, and physician assistant schools. CUHRE enhances the members' chances by supporting academic work and personal growth and by providing health care experiences. CUHRE helps members develop a strong sense of commitment, motivation, and love for the sciences. This program while accepting members regardless of race, creed, ethnicity, or sex, serves also to promote acceptance of Native Americans, Mexican Americans, African Americans, and people of Hispanic and Pacific Islander ethnicity into health professional schools. Some of these groups have been historically underrepresented in the health professions.
