Academic Support
During the academic year, participation in Enrichment Instruction is required for the core science courses that are required for entry into health professional schools. These courses are: one year of general chemistry, one year of organic chemistry, one year biochemistry (recommended), one year of general biology, one year of calculus, and one year of physics. Members are required to schedule their classes around Enrichment Instruction. Instructors are more advanced CUHRE members who have completed the same course with a grade of an "A."

Mentoring
For the first two semesters of membership in CUHRE, every member selects a mentor. Your Mentor is a more experienced CUHRE member who has learned how to thrive at San Diego State University in a pre-health curriculum. They provide personal support and advice based on their experiences and helps to refer proteges to professionals on campus.
