What were your expectations as you entered SDSU?

What is one thing you regret having done during your first semester?

What is one thing you regret not having done?

What is one significant change you notice in yourself now, at the end of the semester?

Drew's response:

• On my first day as a freshman at SDSU, I felt excited and worried at the same time. I was excited about all the memories that were to come and worried about if I was going to succeed or not.
• The worrying part is what scared me the most because I didn't know what to expect.

I expected it to be just like the movies, but in fact it was more like high school. I was also excited about the campus and how big it was, I thought I could get lost.

• The one thing that I shouldn't have done was go out before an exam and not study until 5 minutes before class. I learned my lesson the hard way.
• Something that I wish I did do was go out more and meet people.
• A significant change in myself would be my personality. I have learned to open up around strangers and make friends more easily.

In a note to “incoming freshman” Drew offered this advice:

As a freshman at SDSU, I wish to inform you of the magical experiences you will encounter when coming to “State.” The people, the atmosphere, the classes, the professors, the parties, are all great. Something that I wish to tell you is that if you are a dude living in the dorms, make friends with the girls on your floor and in the floors around you. On the first day!!! This school is just all around awesome. There is no place I would rather be.
