2.  U.S.A. Patriot Act (2001)--
Be able to describe how "domestic terrorism" is defined in USA Patriot.

Know the arguments in support or USAPATRIOT and against USAPATRIOT.

Be familiar with provisions of the USA PATRIOT act that deal with:
1.  Detention
2.  Surveillance
3.  Search and Seizure
4.  Speech
5.  Peaceful Assembly

You should be able to identify each of the first 10 amendments to the Constitution (The Bill of
Rights) and explain how those rights have been affected by USA PATRIOT act and how they 
would be affected if the Domestic Security Enhancement Act of 2003 (aka PATRIOT II) could
impact those rights.

Finally, be able to discuss the Freedom to Read Protection Act.

3.  Judicial Politics:
Be able to discuss the theory that judge's personal convictions and opinions may have an
impact on the ways in which they interpret the Constitution.  Be able to explain the following
phrase, "What the Supreme Court giveth, the Supreme Court can taketh away."

4.  Public Opinion Polling:
Be able to discuss now question wording can affect poll results.

5.  The "partial birth abortion" debate and the use of the filibuster to block Bush judicial nominees. 
Be able to discuss how these events are linked to Roe v. Wade and the "right to privacy."

6.  College Area Party Plan--what is it?  what are the constitutional implications?
