Although we do not have a meeting this week, we are still doing service projects! Here is a wonderful letter from Ari explaining what we are doing. Hi!
Just because it is Thanksgiving week, that does not mean we don't do any community service! Our Kiwanians need our help this week to get their Tree Lot set up and running. Wednesday they are delivering the trees, but we don't know what time yet so let me know if you are free on Wednesday so I can put you on the phone tree! Friday they need help tagging the trees at about 9:30am. Saturday and Sunday they need help running the Tree Lot in 3hr shifts or more from 12pm-9pm. As always let me know if you are interested in going to any of these so I can join you and give you a ride if you need one.
Next week we will be tabling Mon and Wed from 9am-3pm at school to try and promote the club so we can get more members. Please let me know if you can help out and if you feel like you want to spur of the moment just call me so I can let you know where we are.

Because the day of giving thanks is this week, we will not be having our regularly scheduled meetings because we assume people will either be traveling or spending time with family and friends. We hope you all have a wonderful break and hope to see you the following week. Take care!

Also, this Sunday, Novermber 1st, there are two things going on: there is our K-family softball -- if you want to come, meet at Zura at 1:30pm, don't worry about brining gloves or bats, they will be provided. And, after words, a new Kiwanis club devoted to helping Kiwanis Youth programs is having their Installation, so meet at 3:30pm at Zura if interested.
And, Masquerade Ball, an event where we dress up formally, hang out and dance, play casino games, and sing karaoke on a yacht. This is UCSD Circle K's largest fundraiser and all proceeds go to Pediatric Trauma Program. If you want to go, let Ari know before this Friday, the 30th, at 8pm (the event fills up fast). The cost is 30 dollars and the event will be held November 14th from 11:30pm to 3am. It really is a lot of fun! Contact Ari here: sdsucirclekpres@yahoo.com.

School is starting soon, which means Circle K will be going into service mode! SDSU’s Student Expo will be held September 1st from 9am to 4pm. If you’re interested in meeting us and learning about Circle K, stop on by. If you’re an old member, come help support Circle K!
