The Middle East in Sound and Color: an evening of Persian and Turkish Visual and Musical Artistry.  This event features Turkish musician Yusuf Gurtas, Turkish visual artist Asiye Yamen, and Persian music group Dornob.  It is free and open to the public.

Spring 2007 Our visiting Fulbright scholar from Tetouan University, Morroco, returned to continue his research at CIAS in the Spring of 2007.  Mr. Abderrazzak Esshir, whose research focuses on orientalist themes in the works of T.E. Lawrence and Walter Harris, was hosted by CIAS in July-December 2005 and June-September 2006
