Nancy Luenn. A Horse's Tale: Ten Adventures in One Hundred Years. Seattle: Parenting Press, 1989. ISBN 0-9439900-50-5. $9.95. 96 pp.

The concept of this book is intriguing: ten stories for ten decades tied together in each story by the appearance of a toy wooden horse. Though the setting of the stories is in Washington State, the horse's adventures are noticeably multicultural. Each story is written by a different author, and though historically detailed and clear, the stories literarily are nothing special.
