Hoberman, M.A. Right Outside My Window. New York: Mondo Publishing, 2002.
$15.95. ISBN# 1-59034-194-5

What does a child see outside his/her window during the different seasons? In text that takes up only 2 lines per spread, Hoberman answers in language is precise as well as descriptive. The phrase "right outside my window" is in italics on each spread.

The illustrations are double truck. Nicholas Wilton uses a complex process involving painting and repainting concrete surfaces, sand papering and other processes. Extensive layering crates depth and movement. The colors and style of illustrations are reminiscent of folk art.

Hoberman has written many acclaimed books for children like A house is a house for me. Wilton is a well known painter and has illustrated books for many children's authors, like Mem Fox.

Excellent for 3-7 year olds.
