Lois Burdett, reteller. R&J For Kids: Shakespeare Can Be Fun! Willowdale, ONT: Firefly, 1998. ISBN 1-55209-229-1.

To be fair, this book quotes good reviews on its back cover. I didn't like it for several reasons. First, this is the book intended for early elementary school. That's premature. Second, Mrs. Burnett paraphrases Shakespeare's language into her own often clumsy poetry. That's cheeky. Third, the picture of her second grade class dressed in costume for the play is really endearing, but her contention that this is a meaningful Shakespeare experience for them is based on anecdote.
