Jeanette Shumaker has published articles on Irish women writers and on Victorian fiction in  peer-reviewed journals including "College Literature," "Women's Studies," and "Studies in Short Fiction." At SDSU, Imperial Valley Campus, Shumaker teaches a broad range of British literature courses, children's literature, comparative literature, freshman composition, and poetry writing.
