
Each semester CBA hosts several Study Abroad Workshops. ALL CBA students must attend one of these workshops BEFORE they can get individual study abroad advising.
Spring 2012 Study Abroad Workshops:
Students must be present for the entire 2 hour Workshop. The following workshops will take place at Love Library, Room 431 (LL-431):
- Friday, January 27, 1:00pm-3:00pm
- Wednesday, February 1, 2:00pm-4:00pm
- Friday, February 10, 10:00am-12:00pm
- Wednesday, March 7, 11:00am-1:00pm
- Tuesday, April 3, 1:00pm-3:00pm
- Friday, April 26, 2:00pm-4:00pm
*Please note that most application deadlines for going abroad during Fall 2012 are before February 20th. The deadline for as SDSU programs February 20th and for ISEP programs as early as February 15th. For this reason, for students planning to go abroad during Spring 2012 must attend one of the first three workshops. The deadline for Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in Spain is February 6. If you are interested in either of these programs you should attend one of the first two workshops.
At these workshops you will learn about:
• The opportunities available to you, including multiple-degree programs;
• The courses that you can take while abroad; and
• Instructions of how and when to complete a study abroad application.
In addition to these workshops, we also will be offering the following workshops:
1. Re-Entry Career Related workshop: Friday, February 17, 1-3pm in LL-431. Please note that this workshop is ONLY for students who have already studied abroad and want to learn how to articulate the skills that they gained while abroad in their job search, ie. job interviews, resume, cover letters. If you already have studied abroad you are welcome to this workshop. You do not need to RSVP to attend.
2. Pre-Departure Career Related workshop:Friday, May 4, 1-3pm in LL-431.
