Real Stories and Experiences Study Abroad Euromed

David Ceballos

Euromed Marseille

"I had previously studied two semesters of French so naturally when deciding on which country to study abroad in I chose France.  Everyone always hears about Paris, but Marseille is not quite on the horizon for some people. However, Marseille is the 2nd largest city in France  and a very unique and lively city.  Living in Marseille was amazing  and It is amazing to see how you adapt your life to living in a different country. Although at first it might be hard to get accustomed to the language and the style of doing things, I notice that each day get better and better.  I had to learn how to take busses everywhere I went, and learn the “French” way of doing things.  What I mean by that, doing any errands before 7pm, everything is closed on Sundays, and this is true is you live anywhere in France, doing it as much as possible in FRENCH.  Overall  my experience was amazing, I lived in a French city during the week and went to  a different country on the weekends. Travelling within Europe is very easy and convenient on the trains. Within France the train system is very developed and you can easily go to Paris from Marseille for under 40€ and you get there in three hours. I  loved how I met people from so many different countries I have friends in Poland, Argentina, France, Spain and the Netherlands just to name a few.  I most definitely recommend anyone thinking about going abroad to any country to go and explore the world."
