SDSU’s College of Business Administration SAN DIEGO (September 21, 2009) - The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University (SDSU) today announced that local entrepreneur, Steven Osinski, has joined the College’s board of directors. Osinski was the founder and CEO of SMART Group, a direct marketing and Yellow Page advertising agency specializing in wireless communications, which was purchased by TMP Worldwide (now Monster Worldwide Inc.) in 1998. Osinski is currently a lecturer for the College, teaching Selling Strategy and Practices (MKTG 377) and Direct Marketing (MKTG 496) to undergraduate business students. Additionally, he has also served as either a board member or advisor to several business and non-profit organizations in San Diego such as SDSU’s Entrepreneurial Management Center, Chairman’s Roundtable, CONNECT, Junior Achievement and San Diego Social Venture Partners. “As a current lecturer, Steven is already deeply familiar with the challenges and the objectives of our students, the College and SDSU,” said Dr. Gail K. Naughton, dean of SDSU’s College of Business Administration. “Given his insider’s understanding, along with his entrepreneurial expertise, Steven was a natural fit to the College’s board of directors.” “Since becoming involved with SDSU on several different levels, I am dedicated to creating a good educational and working environment both within the College of Business Administration and throughout the university,” said Osinski. “I am honored to have been asked to serve the College as a board member and I look forward to offering some creative ideas on how to achieve the board’s goals and objectives for the coming years.” Osinski’s tenure on SDSU’s College of Business Administration’s board of directors became effective on September 15, 2009.
