Dennis Gilmore Joins the SDSU College of Business
Administration’s Advisory Board

SAN DIEGO (February 21, 2011) - The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University (SDSU) announced today that Dennis J. Gilmore has joined the College’s advisory board. Gilmore is a graduate of SDSU (’81, marketing) and is currently the chief executive officer for First American Financial Corporation (NYSE: FAF).

“Dennis’ outstanding leadership ability and commitment to the College of Business Administration makes him an excellent addition to College’s advisory board.” said Dr. Gail Naughton, dean of SDSU’s College of Business Administration.”His hands-on approach to business and financial know-how will serve the board well as the College determines how to confront the challenges that lay ahead.”

“I am honored to serve on the College of Business Administrations’ advisory board as the College strives to maintain the level of excellence that our students have come to expect,” said Gilmore. ”I left SDSU with a valuable learning experience that has served me well throughout my career and now I look forward to giving back to the College, its faculty and its students."

Gilmore, who is also a lifetime member of SDSU’s Alumni Association, will begin his tenure on the board starting March 1, 2011.
