SAN DIEGO, Friday, September 08, 2006 –San Diego State University’s College of Business Administration chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi (AKΨ), the professional co-ed business fraternity, will host Brian Souza, author of a new book entitled Become Who You Were Born to Be on Thursday, September 14. The doors open at 6 p.m. in Montezuma Hall on the SDSU campus. The event is free and open to the public with a book signing following.
Souza will educate attendees on how to discover their gift, uncover their passion, and become who they were born to be. In addition, he will also speak about how to work passion into your profession, the untold secret of top achievers, and how to get rich doing what you love.
Souza is one of three in his family to have attended SDSU. He graduated with a degree in International Business in 1997. He is the founder and chairman of Paragon Holdings, LLC, an organization which specializes in teaching personal and organizational success worldwide. Souza is widely recognized as one of the leading experts in the field of sales and personal achievement. He is sought after as a professional speaker, consultant, and trainer by corporations and organizations around the world.
“More than anything I think my experience at SDSU taught me that the only limits on my potential to succeed were those I chose to place upon myself. Working three jobs while maintaining a full class load taught me that with self discipline, passion, commitment, determination, and patience, anything in life is possible,” Souza said. “And besides, who would have thought that an average student who could barely write a 20-page term paper for Prof. Noble's class would one day write a bestselling book for Random House?”
His new book, Become Who You Were Born to Be: We All Have a Gift Have You Discovered Yours?, will be the lead title for Random House in the spring of 2007. Vice President and Publisher of Harmony and Shaye Areheart Books Shaye Areheart said, “We have every confidence that Souza's message and his exciting new book will transform the way all of us conceive of our purpose, our goals, and how to achieve true and lasting fulfillment through our life's work. Souza is a dynamic, approachable, and exciting public speaker.” The book has received endorsements from Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Alex Spanos and Robert Schuller, among others.
