SAN DIEGO, Monday, July 17, 2006 - San Diego State University has an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company selected the school for inclusion in the 2007 edition of its book, “Best 282 Business Schools” (Random House / Princeton Review Books, $22.95), available in bookstores in October 2006. SDSU is one of 45 schools that The Princeton Review is adding to its annual "best business schools" guide this year.
According to Robert Franek, VP / Publisher, Princeton Review, "We select schools for this book based on several criteria covering three areas: our regard for their academic programs and other offerings, institutional data we collect about them, and opinions of students attending the schools. We are very pleased to feature SDSU in our book. We highly commend it to readers of the book and users of our website as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA."
SDSU College of Business Administration Dean Gail Naughton said, “We are very happy to be included in the upcoming Princeton’s best business schools guide. We continue to be ranked among the finest business schools in the country and San Diego can take pride in the fact that it has such a stellar program in its community.”
“Best 282 Business Schools” has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services. The book also has 11 ranking lists of the top 10 business schools in various categories from "Toughest to Get Into" to "Best Career Prospects." (The Princeton Review does not name a best business school overall or rank the schools in the book from 1 to 282.) The book's ratings and rankings are based on institutional data from the schools and on The Princeton Review's surveys of more than 18,000 students attending the schools profiled in the book. The survey asked students about themselves and their career plans, as well as their schools’ academics, student body and campus life.
“Best 282 Business Schools” is one of more than 200 Princeton Review books published by Random House. The line includes Princeton Review guides to the best law schools, medical schools, and colleges, plus guides to college and graduate school admission exams. The Princeton Review (www.princetonreview.com) is also known for its test-prep courses and other admission and K-12 education services. The company is not affiliated with Princeton University.
