International Business launches groundbreaking program

TransAmerica is the first transnational, undergraduate, triple-degree program among Chile, Mexico and the United States. The presidents of the three universities recently signed the agreement in a special ceremony in Mexico.

TransAmerica students study a minimum of one year each in Chile, Mexico and the US. Successful participants earn three degrees: the bachelor of arts degree in liberal arts and sciences with a major in international business, emphasis in Spanish and Latin America from San Diego State University; the Licenciatura en Negocios Internacionales from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) in Tijuana; and the Licenciatura en Negociaciones Internacionales from the Universidad de Valparaíso in Chile.

Students may enter the program at any of the three schools and must study a minimum one year each in Chile, Mexico and the US. The international business program, offered jointly by the College of Business and College of Arts and Letters at SDSU, is the largest undergraduate program of its kind in the U.S. and is ranked #11 by U.S. News & World Report.
