SDSU management professor, Dr. Gangaram Singh, was appointed to the city of San Diego’s Citizen’s Revenue Review and Economic Competitiveness Commission (CRRECC). The Commission was approved by the city Budget and Finance Committee in September 2009. The CRRECC is designed to review the findings of an independent auditor who has been appointed to review the city’s budget, and to examine the results of a city-wide survey on city services. After the review, the Commission will then make recommendations to the city council and the mayor on how to move forward on city budget and city service issues. The Commission is also tasked with providing the city council and the mayor’s office with recommendations on how to attract and retain businesses within the city. Singh was nominated for the CRRECC by San Diego City Council President Ben Hueso. |
