SDSU’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) hosted the fourth annual International Economic Summit at the Aztec Center on Wednesday, May 27, 2009.
Over 300 students from 12 area high schools were assigned to represent 89 countries in an educational competition that pitted student teams against each other in virtual trade agreements. Teams traded money, arms, food and other commodities with each other with the objective of improving their assigned country’s standard of living.
The team from CETyS Universidad Tijuana campus, representing Colombia, emerged as this year’s winner, having improved their country’s socio-economic standing by the greatest margin.
