M.B.A. Boat Race Challenge

Team Whateva Floats Your Boat pulls away for good.
|
SDSU’s new M.B.A. candidates kicked off their school year with a team building exercise that left some students “all wet”.
The 2009 M.B.A. orientation included a team building exercise, wherein students split up into groups, chose a captain and built boats from cardboard, PVC pipe and plastic sheeting. The boats were taken to the Aztec Recreation Center’s (ARC) Aquaplex pool, where they competed in a race from one side of the pool to the other.
Each of the 10 teams received an award, including the “Titanic Award” (the team whose boat sunk fastest) to the “Best Team Spirit” award. The two main prizes were taken by team Whateva Floats Your Boat (the boat race) and team Dragon Racer (Most Stylish boat).
All of the participants were treated to a Mexican buffet dinner at the Aztec Center after the race.

Team Dragon Racer won the “Most Stylish” award
