Accounting Students to Participate in KPMG Programs

Accounting giant, KPMG, has chosen two SDSU accounting students, Kareem Scamahorn and Abel Tadesse, to participate in two of their student programs this summer.

Scamahorn, a sophomore, has been selected to participate in KPMG’s the Discover KPMG internship program at their Los Angeles office. The program offers students a first-hand look at a career in audit, tax, or advisory services by working directly with KPMG professionals. Activities may range from technical case studies, leadership development exercises, community service, and exposure to client engagement situations.

Tadesse, a freshman, was chosen by the firm to attend their Future Diversity Leaders conference taking place from July 13 – July 15, 2009 in Hollywood, California. Students completing the conference will receive a $1000 scholarship and an opportunity to interview for a summer internship the following year.
