Naughton Participates In AACSB Peer Review
Dr. Gail Naughton, dean of SDSU’s College of Business Administration, visited the campus of the Asian Institute of Management in Makati City, Philippines, in March 2009 as part of the Association to Advance the Collegiate Schools of Business’ (AACSB) peer review process.
Business schools with AACSB accreditation must maintain rigorous standards in order to maintain their accreditation, which comes under review every five years. Naughton, along with a team of several other deans and associate deans, visited the school prior to re-accreditation to review policies and procedures, academic mission and strategic plans to determine if the school meets AACSB’s standards. The team will provide a report to the school and AACSB within 10 days of their visit.
Both SDSU’s College of Business Administration and School of Accountancy have been AACSB accredited since shortly after their inceptions.
