On the evening of February 12, 2009, the SDSU’s Graduate Business Student Association (GBSA) held a casual reception designed to provide professors the opportunity to meet this semester’s business graduate students outside the classroom environment. The event was held at On the Border in Mission Valley and was open to all College of Business faculty members and the students of the GBSA. Lisa Epstein, the organization’s VP of marketing said the networking event was staged in order to “allow professors and students to get to know each other and begin to develop lasting relationships.” She also hoped that the event would be “mutually beneficial and can really have a positive impact on the quality of the Graduate program here at State.” The GBSA was founded to provide an enhanced educational experience for SDSU’s graduate business students. All graduate students in the College of Business Administration are automatic members of the GBSA – there is no formal registration or fees required. More information about GBSA can be found on the group’s Facebook page at SDSU GBSA.
