Dr. Chamu Sundaramurthy (management): Presented a paper co-authored with Dr. Martina Musteen (management) titled “Understanding Social Entrepreneurship in the Indian Context” at the Strategic Management Society (SMS) Special Conference held December 12-15, 2008. The conference was convened by noted management academic, Professor C. K. Prahalad (University of Michigan) and hosted by the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. Also at this conference, Professor Sundaramurthy chaired a session on “Inclusive Capitalism in Emerging Economies”.
Dr. Chamu Sundaramurthy (management): Presented her research at the PSG Institute of Management and GRG School of Management at Coimbatore, India in July, 2008. She also served as an invited moderator for a session on Entrepreneurial Growth in the Retail Sector at the Emerging Global Opportunities and Challenges in Entrepreneurship summit hosted by PSG Institute of Management.
Dr. Chamu Sundaramurthy (management): Was invited to serve on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Review and Strategic Management Journal, both of which are regarded as top academic management journals. |

Dr. Lori Ryan (management): A paper with M. Schneider titled “Hedge Funds and Their Investor Activism: Do They Help or Hurt Other Equity Investors?” was accepted for publication in the Journal of Management and Governance.
Dr. Lori Ryan (management): Invited to serve as a plenary panelist at the Bentley Global Business Ethics Symposium sponsored by the State Street Foundation and Bentley College, Boston, Massachusetts in May, 2009.
Dr. Lori Ryan (management): Recognized by SDSU provost, Dr. Nancy Marlin, for her work in business ethics and as director of SDSU’s Corporate Governance Institute. |

Dr. Victoria Krivogorsky (accountancy): A paper with K. Ferres and J. Wallace titled “Shifting Paradigms for Regulating Executive Compensation: An Analysis of Accounting and Tax Standards” was accepted for publication in Research in Accounting Regulations.

Dr. Chee Chow (accountancy): Has been named the third most prolific author of accounting literature in academic accounting journals for the past half century (1959 - 2008). The numbers on the most prolific authors were compiled by Jean L. Heck from Saint Joseph's University.
Chow has either authored or co-authored 53 papers that have been published in one of the top 26 "core" accounting journals.
Chow was also placed at 45th in number of papers published in the top five accounting journals. |
