Down, Svet Join SDSU Business Board
Two San Diego business leaders and SDSU alumni have
been named to the College of Business Board of Directors.
Robert Svet, '69, attended the College of Business
and is chairman and founder of The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies,
which he founded in 1971 and has built it into a leading full-time
and temporary staffing service.
Headquartered in San Diego, this growing firm currently
employs over 200 full-time staff members in 36 branches located
primarily in California and Nevada, and over 4,300 temporary workers
daily. With annual revenues exceeding $115 million, Eastridge ranks
among the top one percent of privately owned staffing services in
the nation.
Also
joining the board is David W. Down, managing partner of KPMG LLP
in San Diego, a 1976 School of Accountancy alumnus. He joined KPMG
that same year and was admitted to the partnership in 1987. In 1994
he was named Managing Partner of the San Diego office and in 1998
became the Pacific Southwest Area Partner.
In addition to managing the San Diego office and Pacific
Southwest Area for KPMG, Down serves as the audit partner for many
of San Diego's most prominent public and private companies.
